38, of Bronx, New York; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment, New York Army National Guard, New York, N.Y.; killed Dec. 3 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee while his unit was on patrol in Taji, Iraq.
