Army Staff Sgt. Sean G. Landrus,


31, of Thompson, Ohio; assigned to Company B, 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division (Mechanized), Fort Riley, Kan.; died Jan. 29 at the 28th Combat Support Hospital in Iraq of injuries sustained two days earlier when a roadside improvised explosive device exploded in Khalidiyah, Iraq.

Army Pfc. Luis A. Moreno,


19, of the Bronx, N.Y.; assigned to Battery A, 4th Battalion, 1st Field Artillery, based at Fort Riley, Kan.; died Jan. 29 at the Lakenheath Medical Treatment Facility, United Kingdom, after he was shot on Jan. 23 while he was guarding a gas station in Baghdad.

28, of Meriden Conn.; assigned to 41st Engineer Battalion, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.; killed Jan. 29, 2004, when a weapons cache exploded in Ghazni, Afghanistan. He was listed as duty status unknown until his remains were recovered on Feb. 2.
