36, of Los Angeles; assigned to the 9th Engineer Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany; killed Sept. 27 when a sniper shot him while he was at his observation post in Balad, Iraq.

20, of Apple Valley, Calif.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif.; died Sept. 27 due to a non-combat-related incident in Anbar province, Iraq.
