36, of Youngstown, Ohio; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas ; killed Sept. 6 when his military vehicle came under attack by small-arms fire and grenades in Baghdad.
