Army Spc. James R. Wolf,


21, of Scottsbluff, Neb.; assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 52nd Engineer Battalion, based in Fort Carson, Colo.; killed Nov. 6 when an improvised explosive device was detonated as his convoy passed by in Mosul, Iraq.

Iowa Army National Guard Sgt. Paul F. Fisher,


39, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; assigned to Detachment 1, Company F, 106th Aviation Battalion, Army National Guard, based in Davenport, Iowa; died Nov. 6 at the Homburg University Klinikum, Homberg, Germany. Fisher was very seriously injured Nov. 2 when the CH-47 Chinook helicopter in which he was riding went down in Fallujah, Iraq.

Mississippi Army National Guard Spc. James A. Chance III,


25, of Kokomo, Miss.; assigned to C Company, 890th Engineer Battalion, Army National Guard, based in Columbia, Miss.; killed Nov. 6 when his vehicle struck a landmine in Husaybah, Iraq.

20, of Eufaula, Ala.; assigned to the 4th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery, Fort Hood, Texas; died Nov. 6 at the 31st Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad from wounds sustained earlier that day when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his up-armored Humvee in Baghdad.
